How can we support you?
We offer the help that you need to suit your family for as long as you need it or until your child is five years old. You can be sure that once you have asked for Home-Start’s help you will receive a confidential service.
We carefully match fully trained volunteers who are parents themselves to visit families within their own home once a week for 2-3 hours to offer support.
We receive referrals from a wide variety of people and places, e.g.: health visitors, social workers and children’s centres. There is no stigma attached to Home-Start’s help – the fact that almost a quarter of our referrals come from families themselves is proof of that.
